Kinda corny video. i was pretty psyched to see this when i first saw the trailer. but it let me down. just some half assed drifting in a parking lot and a corny script. would have been a cool video to just stumble across, but with all the hype behind it and advertising they did i was really expecting more.

Mad Mike has great attitude, he truly is missed from the FD circuit. His insane RX8, his no bad days attitude, his ability to always get close to the walls. i wish he would come back to FD so we could witness his awesomeness. but at least he is still competing and making ridiculous cars.

VegasDrift 22...Best of Vegas

               So much goodness i don't even know where to start. I guess ill start off with the a major milestone for Functiontheory.  I was able to acquire a media vest from Nick and Wes a VD, thanks again guys. This puts me right on the course so we can get great pictures, no more far away pictures. This is just one more thing we are doing to make the blog better everyday. Second good thing was the course was set on the infield of the NASCAR track, which turns out is a road course. It reminded me of how people drift on tracks in japan, not just a big parking lot with cones but a real course with dirt to slide off into. The third thing was how relaxed the whole event was, you could tell everyone was just out to have fun. you could park directly in the pits, entry was free for all spectators. As an added bonus there was also North American festival of speed super lap battle. there was some amazing track cars there, and some celebrity drivers, like Dai Yoshihara driving none other then a 2012 stock civic SI. they were having a contest among the celebrity drivers for who could get the fastest lap time from a stock civic SI. There was tons of exotic/race car eye candy all over the place, much better to look at then the boring old bullring parking lot. I hope they do every event here from now on. What a great day it was, hanging out with friends, and meeting new ones as well. just hanging out drifting for 8 hours i could ask for a more perfect day, well unless it was me out there drifting. But that a whole other story, one day the RB240SX will run. LOL

 TOP 16 Pro/Am took place saturday before the pros took the course.1st place was george marstanovic, 2nd place was danny george, and 3rd was corey hosford.

WOW what a crazy, exciting, scary, depressing, slow, day. to start out our boy joey did even make it past practice due to steering failure cause him to slam into the wall. and total his car. then once qualifying had begun the top quallifyer at 89 points aaron escobedo, went for his second run in qualifying and ended up slamming sideways going 50+ mph in to the k rail causing his helment to be knocked of his head and knocking him unconcious, this was the scary part. he was rushed to the hospital but the later released only having a slight concusion. all in all everyone was ok and there was some good ol drifting. 3rd place was Corey Hosfoed in his V8 powerd S13, 2nd place was George Marstonvic with his V8 powerd RX7, and FIRST PLACE was Mauricio Ornelas with his RB25 powerd S14. congrats to all the drivers. and big congrats to Mauricio for beating the V8's. we will see you next time.at round 4 at formula d las vegas.
