                      Well just another typical Wednesday afternoon for us. washing our cars to prep for west side Wednesday, a seemingly pointless act because we are always late and never get prime parking, and no one looks at our cars anyway. so i decided to snap some shots while at the car wash.

very exciting, very hot, very strange... the reason i say strange is the most of the top drivers didn't even make great 8, which made for a very exciting top 4 with rookie Aurimas Bakchis taking out some of FD seasoned drivers. even though he ended up fourth, still a stellar performance from a rookie. It ended up being Mad Skills Millen taking 1st, D Mac taking 2nd, and matty cakes taking 3rd. big congrats to matt powers for taking third and qualifying 1st. he is doing so well this year, that i make me think i should have put a V8 in my car and get some Driftworks knuckles. LOL but seriously he is killing it. i was also good to see Rhys at the top of the podium he is such a great drive but tends to have some bad luck sometimes. lets not for get about D mac, and his triple digit entrys he had some of the fastest entry speeds at 103.7 MPH.Kyle mohan  took it hard into the tire wall after a freak brake failure sent him sideways into the wall at 90+ MPH. joon maeng also hit the wall not as bad but making him unable to go on.

FUNCTION CERTIFIED

Well this is a very special function certified. I know we have had domestics in the past, but this one is a classic example of making what you have work. This car fits the function theory to a T. It's not your typical car that you would fix up. Honda, Toyota, Nissan, but in fact a chevy cavalier. James' 97 z24 is not your average car. When you hear fixed up cavalier You dont realy know what to think, will it be stupid like some Midwestern teenagers fast and furious domestic wanna be, or will it be one of the most amazing home built all by hand cars you have seen in a while. We are going to go with the latter one. Big congrats to James for making this car a more then qualified candidate for being function certified. If you thought the Camaro was fast and stylish before, the new 2010 Camaro HPE700 will blow your mind. An Extreme Performance Makeover transforms the muscle car into a super car. Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), most known for their modified performance sports and muscle cars, launches their Limited Edition 2010 Camaro with only 24 being produced.

John Hennessey, President and CEO of Hennessey Performance Engineering stated that, “The HPE700 Camaro allows our customers to combine supercar power and performance with classic American muscle car looks in a modern, daily-drive usable sports car with a backseat and a trunk. We will be announcing other Hennessey turnkey vehicle packages for the 2010 Camaro in the near future along with an extensive list of aftermarket performance parts and accessories. But for now, the LS9-powered HPE700 Camaro, replete with ZR1 inspired looks and performance promises to be at the top of the American muscle car food chain later in 2009.”

The new Camaro will sport a LS9 supercharged V8 that will produce a 705 horsepower monster with 717lb.-ft. of torque. It will also come available with optional 15 inch carbon brakes, light weight HRE wheels and Michelin PS2 tires, and full suspension upgrades. Apart from the handling modifications, Hennessey will also be offering and exterior aerodynamics package. The package will improve down force at high speeds. Other exterior body upgrades will include Carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, Carbon fiber side rocker panels, Carbon fiber front splitter, hide-away look headlights, and a front billet grille.
