Driven 2 Drift 2013 Episode 1: GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Tech Overview

1000hp Scion FRS Drift Car

we can all assume that this, The 2013 year of Formula D is going to be crazy. everyone is going to have CRAZY horse power and crazier cars. Im both very excited to see all the craziness, but at the same time disappointed to see the original true spirit of drifting die here in america.  its seems that Formula D is just trying to make drifting a spectator sport and there is no limits or restrictions allowed. they clearly want to just make it a show so more people will come and spend money at events. i know that this is a touchy subject and i know it is also a double sided sword. from a business aspect i can see why all this is important, but from a fan or real drifting its kinda getting outta control. what happened to drifting with 300-400 horsepower. what happened to crazy close tandem runs. whats next 2000 horsepower... lets let the real driving aspect of drifting be the skill to winning not just having a huge amount of power.

any how this car that is going to be driven by Otto Graven and it has some seriously sweet stuff going on. you can check out the build here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25217

Driven to Drift S4 Ep2 Road Atlanta

In the latest episode of Driven to Drift, we go behind the scenes with Ken Gushi, Fredric Aasbo and Tony Angelo to get a closer look on the specifics of how Formula Drift competitions are judged. Tony Angelo, a former FD judge lends particular insight into sometimes objective and sometimes subjective factors they're scored on, and how it's these factors that set drifting apart from nearly all other forms of motorsports.

At Road Atlanta, the judges were on our side. Fredric advanced all the way through, besting some of the top drivers including Rhys Millen and Daigo Saito, and landing in the #2 spot on the podium. Congrats to the Need For Speed team on all their hard work.
