ONE CAR GARAGE

                                     i don't get on this as much as i used to, ever since i got instagram i pretty much post pictures on there and neglect the blog. but today i figured since i was bored at home i would take a few snaps of my one car in my one car garage. its pretty tight quarters in there working on car is definitely a challenge. my water pump gasket started leaking real bad so im changing the water pump.

                      Well just another typical Wednesday afternoon for us. washing our cars to prep for west side Wednesday, a seemingly pointless act because we are always late and never get prime parking, and no one looks at our cars anyway. so i decided to snap some shots while at the car wash.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Truly sorry for the lull in posting. we have been busy, I'm sorry but we have our own projects we are working on, along with our regular 40 hours week jobs. so deal with it. so i will try to justify why we have not posted in a few. here goes

first of all went to San Diego and picked up an SPORTCAR MOTION bumper.


second. finally sourced out the rest of the set for the EM BARS


third. been doing some changes to my white eg. i know that there is NO function to the skunk valve cover washers. but they look sick as hell, and i figured i got enough function to justify some bling.


also picked up a battery. if you remember the civic battery died right before the trip to Texas. so i got this beauty and ill be mounting it the rear.



Then the icing on the cake. FINALLY after years of down time. the beast is lose again.

TEXAS PREPIN'

                                     In 6 hours we will be heading out on our 1300 mile journey to WEKFEST in fort worth. i have spent that last 3 days prepping the car making sure everything was tight, and changed the fluids. i took a few pictures of the car while i was doing it. I know what your thinking, why am i going to drive the rough, loud, low, no a/c, uncomfortably cramped car all the way to Texas. WELL im doing it to prove a point you can build a functional car and still daily drive it. i will be driving, low, straight piped, no silencer, roll cage and seat harness. all the way there. we don't build our cars to be comfortable daily's, we build them to be race cars that we drive daily. its possible and everyone needs to start manning up and driving their built cars.come on guys take it to the streets. so with these words i leave you.we will documenting every step of the road trip there and will have a separate article on that, later next week. stay tuned for the goodness. hope to see some of you in Texas.

 This is where the car sleep, in a secret tiny ass one car garage.

 

My guard dog keeps it safe. it is next to impossible to work on the car in this garage. its hard to tell from the picture since im using a wide angle lens but its ridiculously tight.

  Decided to clean up the engine bay a little too as long as i had the hood popped, i figured why not. this was also about the time i found out my battery was dead. being the night before i left the only place i could get one was from ever. he let me borrow the braille battery from his 240. which if almost half the size of my stock battery. also flushed radiator, changed oil, trans fluid, checked brake and clutch fluid and bled. i know most of this was over kill but since i will be driving it half way across the US totaling more then 2600 miles i figured i might as well cover all my bases.

Normally i run no spare, but again i would rather be safe then sorry. so Pat came through with a full size spare. its a tight squeeze between all the bars but at least its not going to move.

 

Just checking all the steering and brake hardware and bolts, making sure all the sway-bars are tight. its all pretty much redundant since i take such good care of it anyway. but just being safe. i always drive the car between LA and las vegas, but that only 300 miles and i know the roads well and could get help from a friend in snap. how ever once i reach new mexico im pretty much on my own.

some other adjustments we made like reinstalling the cigarette lighter so we can charge our phones, and installing working rear speakers so we have loud music.

A little somthing for me

This last weeknd i was able to source out a slightly used ITR manifold, and a set of BRAND NEW CTR cams. got it all together yesterday. no VTEC yet still breaking it in, but it feels stronger from 4-5, so i cant wait to feel VTEC.

FINALLY we got a west coast car. and its just what we were looking for, a canyon, touge, auto x, daily driven civic. this is Garretts of Napa california  93 EJ. he some how managed to stuff 15x9 +36 wheels on it. and he has a modest modest B16 with all the bolt on's and a low key exhaust to keep him out of trouble with the local CALIFORNIA authority. thanks Garrett for sending us your civic, and getting the west coast on the map. we will mail your certified sticker out to you today.
